What's included in a yacht charter in Costa Rica?
Every Yacht Costa Rica charter includes a licensed captain and crew, catering, and an open bar (rum, tequila, vodka, margaritas, sangria, sodas, juice and water) — and all prices already include tax, so there are no hidden fees at checkout. You're also welcome to bring your own food or drinks on board if you'd rather customize the spread.
How much does it cost to rent a yacht in Costa Rica?
It depends on the boat and the length of the trip. Our fleet starts at $1,500 for a half-day on the Lupo Blu 43ft, $2,900 for a half-day on the Leopard 51ft catamaran, and $6,000 for a half-day on the Azimut 105ft megayacht — up to a full weekly charter. Splitting the cost across your group is what makes a private yacht rental in Costa Rica surprisingly reasonable per person.
Where do the yacht charters depart from?
Charters depart from Playa Flamingo or Papagayo, in Guanacaste — Costa Rica's Gold Coast. If you're staying at a hotel near either beach, we can often arrange a closer departure point for you — just share your hotel when you book and we'll coordinate the most convenient spot.
Is it cheaper to charter a yacht with a group?
Yes. Charter pricing is set per boat, not per person, so the more guests you bring, the lower the cost per person. Our megayacht alone can host up to 35 guests for day trips, which makes it one of the most cost-effective yacht rentals in Costa Rica for larger groups.
Can I book a yacht for a wedding, birthday or corporate event?
Absolutely — private events are one of the most requested uses for our fleet. We regularly host proposals, birthdays, and corporate gatherings on board, with routes, catering and setup tailored to the occasion.
What's the difference between half-day, full-day and overnight charters?
A half-day runs about 4 hours, a full-day typically 9am–5pm, and an overnight charter on the Azimut 105ft runs a full 24 hours (9am to 9am) with 5 en-suite cabins, breakfast, lunch, dinner and breakfast again the next morning, plus open bar throughout.
